THIS WAS THE FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE OF THE OLYMPIC FLAG, A GREAT MANY OF WHICH HAD BEEN MADE, AND IT WAS A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS [THE SORBONNE, 1914]. ALL WHITE WITH THE FIVE INTERLACED RINGS: BLUE, YELLOW, BLACK, GREEN, RED, IT SYMBOLIZED THE FIVE PARTS OF THE WORLD UNITED BY OLYMPISM AND REPRODUCED THE COLOURS OF ALL COUNTRIES.
